New Home Church!
Everyone I attend a small home church called Compass Point Community. I also run a Christian Singles group called Single Servants. The message below I sent out to my Meetup group letting them know of my plans to start a home church starting December 4th. If you are interested please let me know, Compass point meets on Saturday nights just north of downtown. On Sundays in December we’ll also be meeting at my home near the Citadel Mall

With Christmas fast approaching I see my Saturday’s filling up quickly. My regular home church meets on Saturday night but I won't be able to make it in December.
I've thought about doing a home church at my house starting sometime next year but I feel God prompting me to start it now. I'm not very good with the whole God prompting me thing; maybe it's just indigestion :)
What I do know is if you feel God prompting you to do something you should take the easy road and do as you feel led! So I'm going to put this on the calendar for the 3 Sundays before Christmas. We may do a Christmas morning service but I'm fixing Christmas dinner and that may be too much for me but we'll see how the first 3 weeks progress.
In the spirit of "Church" this will not be an exclusive "Singles" event. I plan to invite some married coworkers and please feel free to invite married friends along too.
So here is the flow of the meeting:
Breakfast & fellowship will begin at 9:00 AM If I'm doing the cooking it will be sausage or bacon, eggs & tater tots. If other more advanced cooks join to help me we'll modify the menu :)
9:45 AM the real fellowship starts: We'll take 3 weeks to discuss the early church of Acts. This will not be me preaching; it will be a group discussion so read up on the subject and come prepared to share your insight.
10:30 AM We'll end the discussion and hang out and fellowship a bit longer.
If you're still here at 1:00 PM it will be my nap time so I'll kick you all out then :)
If someone with musical talent wants to do 2 or 3 worship songs we can add that in.
We'll likely have some children join us; we'll put them upstairs. If you plan to bring kids please bring some crayons & something for them to color or work on. We'll play this by ear and see how this plays out.
Please take a moment to pray for this home church group. This Meetup group is starting to gain momentum and with that the devil takes notice. Please pray that all of our events are pleasing to Christ; also please pray for a hedge of protection around us.
